What does PK mean?
PK=player killing, a common activity in almost all MMORPG
If you decided to try PK in PWI, that means you already know a little
bit about the class you are playing so we are not going to get into
details. PK in PWI is same as that game
Rock-paper-scissors. The
"rock" beats scissors, the "scissors" beat paper and the "paper" beats
rock, more or less. Some classes have and edge, an advantage to kill
other classes. Some builds are better suited against other builds, some
genie skills are better that others in different scenarios.
PVP can be 1 vs 1 or group PVP.
Duels are helpful but they are not a reflection of true PVP. Depending
on what server you play, PVE or PVP servers, you either
are white-named in open world or you go white-named(PK mode). There are
penalties to dying in PVP.
The color of your name in PVP determines if you drop or not items, provided you do not have safety lock or Guardian Scrolls.
"When you attack someone while white name, you turn pink (not red). Red
name only occurs when you kill someone who does not strike back or
defend themselves.
Pink names have a very slight chance to drop an item in their inventory.
Pink names DO NOT drop anything they have equipped.
RED names can drop equipped items, with the chance to do so increasing
as your hours (obtained by killing those unable to defend themselves)

Now that you know that you can lose some of your gear if not bound, you are ready to go PK.
Here are some common sense rules:
1. Be prepared.
What does that mean? Well, must have HP charm, optional MP charm. Must
have different types of apothecary, mainly Ironguard Powder, Dew star of
protection, White tea and Sutra powe orb.
There are many others but these would be the most important depending
on class. Must have damage reduction charms, both physical and magical.
Optional Auto-recovery stone. HP and MP food are good to have. Full
buffs are important, make sure you get them. Also make sure you have
full chi and none of your apothecary is in cooldown. It helps to have a
resurrection scroll, 'cause you never know...
Revelation apothecary to spot invisible players are important too. Make
sure your genie has max energy and make sure you have the right genie
for the right kind of battle.
2. Take a deep breath and go to battle.
Pick your target, outplay them, kill them. Simple, right?
Factors that can determine your success rate in PVP:
1. Math. If you have more enemies that allies, chances are your team
will most likely lose. Same rule applies to gear, if you face enemies
with better gear than you, your chances of success are slim.
2. Internet connection/Lag. If your ping is high, go afk, log off, do something else, do not PK.
3. Computer power. Of you want to record your battles, listen to
music in the same time and play the game at max graphics, make sure
first your computer can live up to your expectations. Else, you will not
be happy with the outcome.
There are a couple of roles in group PVP:
1. Damage dealer
- pretty much anyone can do damage with their skills, some are better
suited than others. Psychs and Wizards do better magic damage compared
to Venomancers, Clerics and Mystics. Archers and Seekers do great ranged
damage, Assassins and Blademasters do great damage melee. Imagine the
group as a ship, the damage dealers are the heavy cannons, some are
glass cannons and hit hard but die fast.
2. Support class
- manly played by clerics/mystics. They make sure to keep the damage
dealers alive, to use their abilities in order to disable the enemies
and heal during the battle when possible. They also resurrect the dead
allies and buff the squad, being ready to take the role of damage dealer
whenever is needed.
3. Tanks
- These are the classes that can absorb large amounts of damage.
Barbarians are great tanks, followed by Seekers and Blademasters.
Venomancer can be tanky too and psychs as well, for a short period of
time. Basically every class can build tanky(mainly heavy armor) but some
have better skills that others in this regard.
What should each class focus on group PvP?
Well...the short answer is...SURVIVE and kill your opponents.
From my experience here are some short tips of what each class may chose to do:1. Blademaster
- The best crowd control class in the game, the Blademaster makes sure
to keep the enemy damage dealers stunned, sealed, disabled in any ways.
They also can focus on applying great debuffs, use purge pole and genie
skills to strip the enemies of their buffs and hope for a Zerk-crit to
kill their target. 2. Wizard
- Focus HA targets, kite and stay alive. Might sound easy but it is
not, even with good escapes and defenses, one purged a wizard is half
dead. Always be aware of when focused and do not dare to tank. This only
exposes you do potential deadly damage. Cannon glass wizard is the most
common type. Seal the deal with a spark-combo or a great AOE ultimate.3. Barbarian
- Along with the Blademaster, the job of a Barbarian is to take agro
from the Damage dealers of the enemy team. Disable them, purge them,
drop the from the sky and when the moment comes, seal the deal with an Armageddon skill. Also take a support role and buff up fast your purged allies. It can make a big difference.4. Venomancer
- Your main job is to make sure you purge the enemy damage dealers so
your allies can take them out fast. You have many disablers and your pet
can be a pest for your enemies. Kite a lot and be annoying. Burn your
enemies chi and strip them from buffs, they will be such easy targets. 5. Archer -
Do damage at max range, use disablers, make sure you have chi for 3
sparks and pray for a purge proc on the bow. Great 3 spark crits can 2-3
shot most opponents, especially if they are purged. Hit and run is your
policy. 6. Cleric -
you are the master of long crow control skills. Sleep and Seal of God
can be decisive in a group PVP. Resurrect your allies, buff them, purify
them, make sure you survive to repeat. You can go in Damage dealer mode
any time and finish off your enemies with fast channeling spells.7. Psychics
- Cannon glass class, the psychic has the ability to go into a tanky
mode and has many crowd control skills at its disposal. Packed with high
damage and fast channeling, the psychic will focus fire and make sure
he drops quickly his enemies. Soulburn and white voodoo are great to
punish the enemies and draw agro. 8. Assassins - Your job is to kill the enemy damage dealers very fast. Use your large array of
crowd control skills and make sure to do as much damage as possible
while 3 sparked. Tidal protection is your best friend. Kill your target
quick, go to stealth, come back and repeat. 9. Mystics - The mystic's main job is support, although he can hit pretty hard with the right gear. Use your AOE disablers to
keep many locked around you, make sure your pets are using their skills
depending on situation and buff up your team. In mass PVP, constant
group resurrection buff can decide who wins and who loses the battle.10. Seekers
- Masters of AOE, the seekers are doing very well in the middle of the
enemy group. Their close range and long range type of AOEs can kill
enemies very fast. A great use of their combos can oneshot many targets
and they can bring their pets to help out too. Zerk-crit is their most
deadly feature and once a seeker 3 sparks and starts gifting AOEs left
and right, he can decide the fate of the battle. Remember, never ever ever, forget rule number 1. Be prepared, or else there might be consequences that you might not like.
